About Bilirubinometer Fund

This year, we’re raising funds to purchase two bilirubin machines for our care teams. These devices allow providers to quickly and gently check newborns for jaundice, a common condition caused by elevated bilirubin levels. While jaundice often presents as yellowing of the skin and eyes, high bilirubin levels can become dangerous if left untreated and, in severe cases, may lead to permanent complications such as brain damage (kernicterus).

Early detection is critical. Having these machines on site means faster screening, timely treatment when needed, and added peace of mind for families during those first days of life. Your support helps us protect newborns and give babies in our community the healthiest possible start from day one.
